"Going into this course I thought I pretty much knew everything about interpreting, but I quickly found out that I was far from it. This easy-to-follow curriculum taught me so much about the medical field and about the RIGHT, LAWFUL, & PROFESSIONAL way to interpret. MITS is a really good way to learn online. It is really convenient and time-saving. The explanations in the course are really clear. The instructor will even encourage me in the recorded course ,telling me that I am not studying alone . I am currently a nurse student and also want to become a part time English- Mandarin medical interpreter, by studying on this website, I did learn a lot of useful skills to get me ready both for my nursing study and my interpreting journey. Yet, I feel that it was all necessary to show what a professional certified interpreter should expect to experience when in the real practice of interpreting. "I did the 40 hour training to be able to take the national certification exam. And I feel I am well prepared. It took me a while to get through it all because it is really thorough. Although I do not know about other courses for the medical certification, I have taken courses for the court interpreter exam and this one stands out because there are sample renditions for the materials in the lesson. You also get the scripts, so there are multiple ways of checking how you did. The interface is really friendly. There are a lot of materials. I have not completed the bonus sections, but I am looking forward to this. This was a very enjoyable course because of the contents and because of how it is put together."

"You have to be so careful when looking for quality online courses--it's hard to know what you will get. Well, I'm here to tell you, MITS is the course for you! I went from "wow, I am lacking so much vocabulary, I'll never be able to do this" to confidently interpreting an entire patient appointment in oncology by the end of the course!
