Four hours of Continuing Ed
In this course, not only will you improve your bilingual vocabulary, but you’ll also understand the impact that liver diseases cause in patients’ lives. You’ll interpret some of the most troubling symptoms, treatments, medications, and prognoses.
You’ll be able to strengthen your interpreting skills and expand your expertise by developing a self-learning plan through self-assessment and customization of glossaries. Upon completion of this class you will be able to:
- Comprehend and interpret the hepatology terms presented in this course.
- Define and correctly pronounce unfamiliar words and terms.
- Promptly identify medical terms and abbreviations related to the digestive system.
- Effectively respond to cultural and idiomatic challenges such as idioms, colloquialisms, and slang.
* The Judicial Council encourages interpreters to complete a four-hour course within a period of two weeks.

“I’ve only taken one class at MITS—and planning to take more—but I can say that I was very satisfied with the extensive content on the subject and terminology. I liked the fact that I could take it at my own time and that the classes are accredited. I’ve already recommended MITS to my peers. Good customer service too!”
