MITS is Pleased to Present its New Training Platform!
A More Powerful System
This relaunch comes after two years of extensive research and development that includes the input from trainers, staff, administrators, leaders, developers, and most importantly, MITS students. Here’s some important information about this new site and transition.
First and Foremost
This new website is student-focused. The myriad of surveys and focus groups we conducted enabled us to develop an environment where the students’ needs and interests are priority. Based on the collected feedback, we decided to move to a more intuitive and user-friendly system that will allow our students to enjoy MITS courses in a state-of-the-art website that is worthy of their time and investment in their education.
Two Website Versions
This new platform will not completely replace the older model, our Legacy Website. To minimize any disruptions to our current students, both the Legacy and new website will concurrently run for one year.
Students who are currently enrolled in our Legacy website can continue to take their courses on that platform without any interruptions or changes. They will, however, be able to upgrade (see details below). All new students (after May 10) will take their courses on the new website.
The Features
Similar to our legacy website, MITS 2.0 is mobile-friendly, which allows students to take their courses on the device of their choice. Some of the most relevant features you’ll find on our new website are:
Reorganized content; delivering information in a more clear and concise manner.
Visually stimulating layout, lucidly identifying courses, programs, lessons, and resources.
Dynamic presentation of quizzes and their access to reinforce learning and retention.
- Overall improved functionality and performance.
With our additional staff, we will be able to provide more support for ongoing updates and developments. In addition to our new in-house staff, we have partnered with a new web hosting company to help us provide the technical maintenance and security of the site. This give us the opportunity to build a more solid foundation upon which we can create a new and engaging learning environment.
For your convenience, we have compiled a few of the anticipated questions.
It depends. If you are towards the end, you may want to finish up on our Legacy site. If you are less than halfway (before Cardiology), it would be advantageous for you to move.
Please send us an email including the following information:
Name of the person who purchased the program.
Order number.
Name of the person taking the course if different from purchaser.
The number of courses (modules) completed.
Course Program: Spanish or Non-language Specific (NLS).
You will receive an email with a voucher or coupon code and the instructions on how to register.
If you are only reviewing or have already achieved your learning goals, it’s not necessary for you to switch. You are probably very familiar with the older interface, thus making it easier for you to remain on the old platform.
If you still have courses to redeem, you can use the same coupon code on the new website. However, you will have to create a new profile. It can be the same you had on the Legacy website. Simply, choose your course, fill out the registration form, and apply your coupon code.
Students who:
- Already completed their 40-hour program and are only reviewing.
- Already completed the 40-hour program and got nationally certified.
- Already completed all Continuing Ed and received the certificates of completion.
- Only have a few months left until expiration.
- Are working on an extension.
The legacy website will be archived a year after the launching of the new website – May 10th, 2020. This will give students full 12-month access to the program in case they didn’t switch. All courses purchased the year before will expire and the website will be archived.
